Presenting the Gospels for a Comparison

Christianity vs. Catholicism,

Cross vs. Eucharist, Mary, Sacraments, and Sacramentals

What Jesus did that is available for you

God the Father's Son, the sinless Jesus shed His blood, suffering the penalty of death for all our sin. Jesus was buried and rose in victory, over sin and death. By believing in Jesus the hell bound sinner receives forgiveness, Jesus's righteousness, everlasting life and is indwelt by God the Holy Spirit; sealed as God's child and strengthened to love God and others like Jesus. Read God's word, confess and turn from your sin, {use the keys of heaven to enter} Put your faith in and give your life to Jesus. Love and good deeds glorify God - they do not earn salvation.

Apostle Paul put it this way

For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us who are saved it is the power of God. (1 Corinthians 1:17-18)

Roman Catholicism puts it this way

The Eucharist is "the source and summit of the Christian Life." (CCC-1324)

The Eucharist is the sum and summary of our faith: "Our way of thinking is attuned to the Eucharist, and the Eucharist in turn confirms our way of thinking." (CCC-1327)

"We call this food Eucharist, and no one may take part in it unless he believes that what we teach is true, has received baptism for the forgiveness of sins and new birth, and lives in keeping with what Christ taught." {180 - St. Justin, Apol. 1, 66, 1-2: PG 6, 428.} (CCC-1355)

Join in taking the Gospel to the ends of the earth

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (Ephesians 6:12)

But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. (2 Corinthians 4:4)

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man: That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,  May be able to comprehend  with all saints What is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the Love of Christ which passeth knowledge, that ye might be FILLED WITH ALL THE FULLNESS OF GOD. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end, A’men” (Ephesians 3:14-21).

Distributing God's Holy Word - How Blessed Are We

Fear thou not; For I am with thee; be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. (Isaiah 41:10)

For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither has eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him. (Isaiah 64:4)

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. (1 Corinthians 2:9)

Be faithful to the task God has called us to do

How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth! (Isaiah 52:7)

For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent: as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!" (Romans 10:11-15)

The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:8-10)

For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel! For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me. What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel. For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more. (1 Corinthians 9:16-19)
